Indio Elks RV - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Hi, I’m Dan Baldwin, the Indio Elks RV new camp host who recently took over from Mike, the camp host for the past year. Mike’s site reservation system is not currently being used but not to worry as we are still going to take care of you and you’ll have a wonderful time during your visit.
Please note the following FAQs and email me any questions you have that are not answered below. Within the next several days I expect to have a calendar published that will show you your “unpaid registration” (as opposed to a “prepaid reservation”) so you can see that we’re expecting you and you can also see if our site will be anywhere close to full even during your visit.
Do please plan to stay with us as we will be able to provide you with water & 30-amp electric whenever you show up, with or without an “unpaid registration” or a “prepaid reservation”.
Questions? Call the RV host hotline at 442-637-2306 or email Dan@IndioElksRV.com
Is Space Available for Me Whenever I Arrive? Yes!
You will get 30-amp electric & water when you arrive at our site so please plan to stay with us. We have 55 spaces with 30-amp electric & water and we are never full!Do You Have a Calendar that Shows my RV Registration? Almost!
As someone who’s traveled the country with my wife & stayed at over 100 Elks RV sites, I know how important it is for you to know 100% that your water & 30-amp electric will be available when you show up. For this purpose we are 65% complete with a public calendar that will confirm we have your registration and you can also see how full our RV park is for any particular night. You will be able to view this at www.IndioElksRV.com in a couple of days. What’s the Cost? $35 per Night
This is the current electric & water site charge as of April 2025. The $15 per night “dry camp” charge does not apply if any $35 per night spaces are available.Any Sites with Sewer? Yes but for Grey Water Only
We have 4 sites that have sewer for rigs under 35’ but the sewer is for grey water only until after we’ve roto-rooted the sewer lines. Sewer sites are $40 per night and guests are responsible for cleaning any black water spills.Any Pull-Thru Sites for RV’s with Tows? Maybe
Our site 23 is held for 40+ foot RVs & long RVs with tows. Our “diagonal sites on gravel” in the back can act as virtual pull-thru sites when we have low vacancy but each are technically two sites, front & back like in a grocery store parking lot. If we’re pretty empty don’t worry about unhooking your tow. If we’re more full & the site behind you might be needed please be sensitive to that. We don’t currently charge extra if you use both sites as a pull-thru but if you spend money in the lodge we’ll think you’re terrific! Can I Reserve a Specific Site? Yes with Prepayment & No Refunds
Our 55 RV spots generate 50% of our annual revenue so we’re pretty focused on maximizing revenue to maintain the space in a manner that pleases our guests. As such we’re happy to reserve a specific spot for you if you agree to prepay with no refunds. To do so, complete this registration form, and mail it with your check prepaying for all days to: Indio Elks Treasurer, PO Box EEEE. Indio, CA 92201. Please email a picture of your completed form & check to Dan@IndioElksRV.com so I can let the treasurer know to look for your prepayment.Do I Need to Preregister? No, but it Doesn’t Hurt
To be clear, the only “reservations” we take is “prepayment with no refunds”. We do encourage guests to preregister so we have a general idea of how full the park will be on any day. Preregistration is defined as you sharing your itinerary with us & our making a note of it - kind of like being on a waiting list with others who’ve not yet paid. If we need to “break a tie” we’ll generally favor the guest who showed up and occupied the empty & unpaid space first. If a particular date starts to look full we can proactively email & text those who’ve preregistered to see if they want to switch to prepaid to lock in a space. Click here to preregister.Do You Have an On-site Dump Station? Yes
The dump station is on the right side of the building as you drive in. It’s open 24/7 through April but locked after hours during the summer so speak with the host if you need summer, after-hours dump access. Is There Internet Access? Yes - both WiFi & 5G The lodge provides strong WiFi. The userID & password are posted at the host kiosk. You should also experience strong 5G internet from your local cellular provider. If you have an older 4G phone the 4G internet signal is not as strong (at least with Verizon).
